Where in the Resort?

This layout uses some of the odds and ends photos from Disney LOL.  Inspired by the challenge at 2 Broke Girls to use numbers -- I created a game.  Can you tell where these photos were take without looking?

Fantasmic

One of the guys took these photos -- love the colors at night -- during the Fantasmic! show at Disneyland.  I either went back to the motel early or wasn't back in the park yet.  I chose the bright, primary colors (blues and reds -- the red is much brighter irl)  from The Cupcake Challenge #5 at 2 Broke Girls .

Nowhere In Particular

These are photos from Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland -- which is based on the story Wind in the Willows.  I liked the book and love the song "We're Merrily....on our Way" so I used that as the title.  My photo of the layout came out with the one photo washed out -- both of the character photos are really the same quality.  This is for the Let's Capture Our Memories Sketch #24 challenge and I used my crimper to accordian fold the paper backing the title for the Useless Calories challenge at 2 Broke Girls.

Boys Primp too

This was for a Chinese Whispers and a LOAD color challenge.  Love how it came out.

Layouts from Last Weekend's Crop

Can't believe a whole week has passed since I was at Becky's cropping.  Had some little details to finish on the layouts and finally got it done.  But -- give me a break here -- Sunday was Father's Day and a trip to HB, Monday was laundry (oh wait, DH did that) and packing, Tuesday we left for San Diego and just got back yesterday.  So -- I've been busy.  LOL

These are Disney from Spring Break and Ben's Prom.

Obviously, Disney's world of color -- Such gorgeous colors.  When I saw Child's Play  yarn challenge, I saw colors and immediately thought of these photos.

Pictures from Alexa's house -- her Mom invited us over for a snack and to take pictures, which I completely appreciated.    The left side is from a sketch at 2 Broke Girls.

I love the story the photos of them putting the flowers on each other tells.  Ben's part was easy -- a wrist corsage, but Alexa had a hard time, so Mom helped.  They laughed about the dog and the airplane -- and look so elegant.

These are from the dance (yes, I trolled on FB on Ben's page and his friends pages LOL).  The right side is Ben with his friends Corey and Teal.  And the right side is one of the "photo op" shots from Madame Tussaud's.  Love the expressions on their faces -- you can tell they're drama kids!  Both pages are from sketches  -- the left is from a sketch at Let's Capture our Memories and the color scheme from a challenge at 2 Broke Girls.  The right is from a sketch challenge at 2 Broke Girls.  Love how well they went together using the same papers and background :-)

This last photo is from our Disney trip -- Our room at the little Alpine Inn was literally a fence apart from the back side of Carsland.  We thought we'd see SOMEthing out our window.  Yep -- a brick wall LOL.  This is just for fun - we laughed about it.  It's not like we spent lots of time in the room any way.  This is based on a sketch from 2 Broke Girls. -- Turn and twisted and everything :-)

Such Characters

The journaling on this layout explains that on various rides, Disney takes photos that are supposed to be candid.  But my guys love to pose.  You're supposed to purchase the photos, but that adds up quickly.  So my ODS started snapping pics of the screens showing our pics in the viewing area.  The layout was inspired by the challenge this week at Child's Play -- The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse --  and About A Boy -- Favorite Summer Activities.  And I used a sketch from Let's Scrap

You Are My Sunshine

This was inspired by a title challenge at the Scarppin-Peeps MB.  I tweaked it to read "You Are My Sunshine....Even in the Dark" since my photos were night time shots.  It's another two pager of Disney photos.

On Our Way

This is the first prom layout of YDS, Ben and his date, Alexa.  I love these photos.  They look so grown up.

I had the opportunity to be a guest designer this month at Child's Play.  The first week's inspiration is a red flyer wagon!  Since my kids are grown, the limo replaces the wagon :-)  I took the red as my accent color and used the black and white as the main colors.

I also used a weekly sketch from Let's Scrap to help put this all together.

Here it is:
